Geometry
IS Sound IS Number. Words
carry sound. Sound has inherent geometry. Geometry relates to number.
Hence the ancient art of numerology.
What
we say,
that is, the sounds that we utter, have an inherent geometry which has
effect upon the world we live in.
What
we say
has a vibrational frequency.
What
we think
has a vibrational frequency.
What we say and what we think have impact upon what becomes real in the world, especially if many people say and think the same things!
Hans
Jenny experimented with sound played into white sand on a black surface
and discovered that the vibration of the sound caused the sand to take
up geometric patterning. The image on the right is of the sound of the
vowel A. Images courtesy of www.mysticalsun.com
Note
the six sided form. Number
is Symbolic!
To
understand number, we need to move out of our comfort zone that takes
number for granted and ask, "How or why does number exist at
all?" Number
arises simply because time and space exist.
Space
is measurable only because there is solid matter. Imagine
absolutely nothing in existence at all, just emptiness. What reason
would there be to count? But
when there is solid matter occupying space, we can say that if the
distance from one particular spot to another is counted as one, then
from one particular spot to another which is double that distance, will
be able to be counted as two and so on.
In
the bigger picture, the movement of the solid bodies of sun and earth
and moon, in relation to each other, is what we understand as time, and
it is counted as whole cycles or parts of whole cycles, years, seasons,
months, weeks, days.
If
we look at number through the eyes of our ancient Earth ancestors, and
their sacred symbols, number can be seen to have a developmental cycle
from 0 to 9 If
we accept that there is a progressive cycle from 0 to 9 existing in the
Universe as a natural process, we are able to see that there are clues
in the symbols and their relationship to number that tell us about how
the process of Creation happens.
To
do this, we must be able to release the conditioning and thinking of our
current science that tells us that a Big Bang means that because there
has been a physical `beginning' to our Universe, that there was a point
when time as we experience it, began.
Our Universe is giving birth to new bodies every Earth day. And
it is taking bodies out of existence every Earth day.
Can
we think big enough to think beyond our apparent Universe?
What
if Creation operates through continuous cycles of Big Bangs and Black
Holes? (Active and receptive forces, Creator at play, breathing
energy/matter out and breathing it in eternally).
What
if Creation always exists, and is an infinite pulsing body, and if Big
Bang is its regular heartbeat?
To think in terms of cycles, we also must be able to release the
mindset that has persisted from Darwinian theory that everything evolves
in a linear fashion from something inferior to something superior. Rather,
we might consider that everything in Creation simply operates in cycles
of experience. Evolution may be only an apparent effect at a certain
stage of a cycle. Degeneration
and the fall of civilisations is an undeniable fact in our recorded
history. The obvious pattern is that everything cycles, beginning with
some new lifeform or idea, lives for a period of time experiencing that
form or idea, and then gradually degenerates, passing away to allow some
new lifeform or experience to emerge.
The
cycle from 0 to 9 is a process that can be understood at the level of
the macrocosm as the cycle of Creation that occurs in a continuously
manifesting Universe. In the microcosm, it may be understood in one form
as the cycle that occurs in human relationships with resultant learning
and development of conscious awareness.
Inspired
by the possibility that the geometric symbols of the pentagram and
hexagram offered a representation of the process of Creation and that
these forms in turn were symbolised by the numbers 5 and 6, I went
looking for the ancient geometric symbols that might equate symbolically
with the numbers for the complete cycle of integers (single numerical
digits), from 0 to 9. I was also looking for confirmation of the
concepts that I had been developing based on the four prime forces and
the simple understanding of active and receptive forces.
I
didn't have to look far. I found them in the ancient astrological
symbols, in the symbols of indigenous peoples, in religious symbols from
diverse cultures. I found symbols repeated from culture to culture, from
Christian to Muslim to Mayan. I found that the quadrated circle and the
symbol of concentric circles, or circle with a dot in the center seemed
to be archetypal to the human experience.
I even found a fairly similar process of thinking about number,
symbols and geometry in Sufi religious philosophy to the cycle that I
was proposing. Of
course it's all been done before.
I was looking for a repetitive pattern that would reveal itself
in cyclical processes here on Earth, or as the saying goes, "as
above, so below", or in mathematical terms, a fractal pattern.
The following is the Creation cycle that emerged from my
thinking. The
Esoteric Meaning of Number
Number and symbols with their inherent geometry may be understood
in the following way:
0.
Zero. Symbol for nothing. The Nothing from which everything comes. The
Void. The Dreaming Mind. All Power. Om-ni-potence ( infinite in power
and possibility ). Om-niscience (all Knowing).
The
potential for something new to emerge.
The
quiet space in life where nothing much is happening.
1.
One. Symbol for the Sun. The All that IS. Everything in existence.
Everything is One. The
initiation of something new in reality. A beginning. An expansion.
Leadership. Something
or someone new comes into your life. The seed of something new emerges
in the conscious mind, seeking development.
2.
Two. Chinese yin-yang symbol of complementary energies. The active and
receptive forces. The breathing out into existence and the withdrawal
from existence, eternally. One-to-one
relationship. Complementing or conflicting. Fragmentation.
Differentiation. Potential for union, or re-union. Attraction.
Repulsion. Polarity. Apparent duality. Anima and animus.
You
have experiences of difference, perhaps even conflict with another or
inside yourself, confusion. You may be presented with seemingly
different options or situations of contrasting experiences.
3. Three. Symbol for the Holy Trinity, in Eastern religion. The
Trinity of the Dreaming Mind, the Feminine Principle and the Masculine
Principle, eternally bonded by Love.
Relating
to groups as a whole. Social bonding. Belonging. You
reach out for a broader understanding of your situation or experience by
seeking the knowledge or help of others. If there is conflict, it may
affect others. Maybe people take sides.
4. Four. Major traditional symbol for religions all
over the Earth throughout human history. Symbol for Earth. Origin of the
Crucifix symbol in Western culture. Basic from of many existing
religious symbols e.g. the Celtic Cross. The Four Prime Forces:
receptive and active of the Feminine Principle and active and receptive
of the Masculine Principle. The
belief system of a culture. The foundation upon which something is
built. The framework of thinking.
You
weigh up what you know in your own experience and that of others. You
might listen to other people who argue about the issues and put forward
their opinions.
5. Five. Symbol for magical or Divine manifestation, particularly
in Western theosophy. The Dreaming. Creator at play. The Superior
Imagination. The Dreaming Mind of the Creator acting in, through and
with The Four Prime Forces as the embodiment of the Creator at play.
Creativity.
Change. Chance. Chaos. Ideas. Inspiration. Opportunity to make a change
in the belief system.
You have an inspiration or a creative resolution. Maybe someone
suggests a different way of thinking about the issue, with a bright idea
that allows you to think bigger, go beyond yourself.
6.
Six. Symbol of the Jewish religion. The manifestation. The Universe. The
solid reality. The body of the Dreaming Mind.
Stability.
Stasis. Order. Harmony. Balance. Conservation. Integration of the change
in the belief system.
You try out the new idea and experience a different response.
7.
Seven. Ancient Flower of Life symbol, known to the ancients, possibly
pre-Egyptian. Rest and Reflection. Know Thyself! Personal
evaluation. Reflection. Wisdom. Stillness. Peace. You
reflect upon and see the benefit that comes from the change.
8.
Eight. Symbol of the Caduceus, symbol of healing in traditional Western
medicine. Symbol of the Kundalini energy in Eastern religion. Power
within the manifestation. Personal
effectiveness. Influence. Ability to manifest change, make change really
happen.
Change continues to happen in your life because you hold a
different view. You may no longer be limited in doing something
meaningful.
9.
Nine. Symbol of resurrection on Pyramid tomb wall in Egypt. Completion.
Completion
of a cycle. Rounding off. Opportunity to change direction. Possibility
of lift in consciousness (turn ninety degrees, Love with a big L). Or
repeat learning cycle (go back to 0) if unable to accept the change that
offered itself in the five. Life
settles down with a feeling of something being completed.
If you haven't been able to go with the flow of change, it's most likely the same lesson will be repeated, either with the same people, or with different people, but same thing happening. (Oh no! Not again!).
10.
Ten. (One and zero). The ten-pointed star of Sufi religion. The mirrored
pentagram. The All and the Nothing.
At
one with the flow of life. Accepting life as it is and people as they
are. Surrender to the Dreaming of the Divine Mind.
At a certain stage of development of spiritual consciousness on the human journey, the cycles of growth move into the ten after a life lesson that has been absorbed and fully developed. You find yourself more accepting of the ebb and flow of life, and more tolerant of others.
11. Eleven. (One and one). The letter M in the Western alphabet.
Temple entrance in Eastern and Western religions.Pillars of the Temple.
The re-union of the Feminine and Masculine Principle as Love. Divine
Marriage. Holy Grail. Rapture / Esctacy / Bliss / Love / Kundalini /
Spiritual Emergence / Soul Integration
Integration
of seeming opposites within a larger whole. Alchemy. Harmony between
anima and animus within (feminine and masculine aspects of self).
Self
realisation.
This stage follows the ten, and is what has been understood as
alchemy or the `Holy Grail' of human development. It is a stage where a
fully developed aspect of the anima or feminine aspect of self
integrates with a fully developed animus or masculine aspect of self. It
is a state of harmonious integration within the psyche. Numerology
The
above interpretation of number may be applied in the art of numerology.
Number values are as follows:
The
letters a, j, and s all have the numerical value of 1. The letters b, k
and t all have the numerical value of 2. And so on. Geometry is inherent
within sound. Words bear numerical values. The letter values are added
and reduced to a single digit, through a process of addition. For
example:-
5
6 4
1 5 w
o m
a n
5+6+4+1+5
= 21 (add the digits 2 + 1)
= 3 The numerical value for
`woman' is 3. When we
look at the interpretation of the esoteric meaning of three, we see that
it equates with the wider group, the social bonding and belonging.
The
numerical value for `man' is 4+1+5 = 10 = 1. The esoteric interpretation
of one is initiation, leadership and outward extension. Now
have a look at the name of the place where you are living and understand
something of its archetypal energy and how this might be influencing
your life. For
example:
N
o r t h c o t e
in the city of
M e l b o u r n e 5
6 9 2 8 3 6 2 5
4 5 3 2 6 3 9 5 5
46 / 10 / 1
42 / 6
The
suburb Northcote is a One in the city of Melbourne which is a Six. You
would expect to see new and innovative ideas in Northcote, in a city
environment of conservatism and stability.
This
is certainly the case.
Take
a look at the letters of your name. And also reduce your birthdate to a
single digit and use the above esoteric reading to reflect upon the
moment of destiny chosen for your entry to the Earth experience. For
example the birthdate 4th March, 1970 is 04 / 03/ 1970 which reduces to
24, which reduces to 6, an experience of relating to maintaining things
in their current form of balance, or seeking to create balanced
stability. It can also move into stasis, even stagnation.
Sound
has Meaning! Every word that we utter reverberates with meaning upon the
chi of Universal energy!
From the text of "The Bud of Compassion: The Story of Love and Hope": "The point of this whole collective journey of humanity seems to be to discover how it all works, put this together with why it works this way, and then flow with it, to not play God and try to control or manipulate it, or mis-use it, or have power over it, but to let God play us!"
The
text of "The Bud of Compassion: The Story of Love and Hope"
looks deeper into the cycle of numbers as they reveal the process of
Sacred Geometry in Creation, and how this is reflected in the cycles of
learning that happen in human relationships in our everyday lives. Visit

Here's
a great riddle for those who really love to play with puzzles! Does
Creation move from the pentagram to the hexagram in the process of
manifesting solid matter, and if so how and why?
