A New Sense of Spirit

by Ilyhana Kate Kennedy © 2002

Ancient cultures all over the world have understood the Universe as having its continuous origin in four prime forces that may be described as active (yang) and receptive (yin) of both Masculine and Feminine.

The ancestors of the modern indigenous Americans, according to author and researcher James Churchward, set the four prime forces in “the four corners of the world” as the four directions, when they migrated to that country, so that they would never be forgotten.

They are represented in the above visual symbol, which is also drawn as:

and are obvious in the ancient symbol of the quadrated circle

Today’s scientists have concluded that there are four prime physical forces operative in the universe, and call them gravity, electromagnetic force, weak nuclear force, and strong nuclear force.

We are searching for something, hungry for God knows what, and pursuing it however we may.

And we are following many pathways, some called science, some called spirituality.

Every pathway goes Home eventually.

And every division has a whole from whence it came.

We might well wonder “What is the whole from whence science and spirituality came?”

The Four Prime Forces

Victor Schauberger spent his life studying water flow and energy. His extraordinary discoveries about energy have been both neglected and exploited, most certainly to the detriment of the human impact upon the environment. ( He created a flying machine employing free energy that burst through the roof of his laboratory when he first turned it on. )

His work draws attention to centripetal force in the spin of a vortex and the power within it. He observed that there was a force with an opposite movement within a spiral spin form and employed this in his work.

(vortex; pl. vortices; a whorling spiraling movement of matter or energy around a centre

centripetal; movement towards the center

centripetal force; (Macquarie Dictionary), a force acting on a body, which is directed towards the center of a circle or curve, which causes it to move in the circle or curve

centrifugal; movement outwards from the center

centrifugal force; (Macquarie Dictionary), the force exerted outwards by a body moving in a curved path; the reaction of centripetal force).

Did you know that in Elizabethan England, that Oxford and Cambridge universities did not even have a chair of mathematics and that plus and minus signs were considered only a little short of sorcery? ( Read “John Dee. The World of an Elizabethan Magus” by Peter French, 1972, Ark, Great Britain.)

And yet millennia before the Elizabethan period, the Egyptians excelled at geometry and mathematics.

Schauberger is not the only scientist who has brought forth the power of spin for our attention and been ignored.

A brilliant mathematician in our present time called Dan Winter has been computer mapping the mathematics of the two opposite spin movements in relation to the human heart and emotion.

Western cultures have been using the principle of fission to provide energy, and consequently have been progressively “burning” the resources of the natural environment.

The work of Dan Winter invites the consideration of the energy locked into the fusion of vortices.

Others like Dr David Wheeler go a step further to propose that the most natural energy source is that which follows an alternating implosion/explosion pattern….lock the energy in and then release it. This pattern is repeated throughout the Universe, and may be seen in the human heartbeat, the ripple in the windblown or waterwashed sands, and in the swimming motion of the simplest anemone sea life. It is a repeated alternating pattern of contraction/ expansion or implosion/ explosion.

It is the Universal heartbeat, the pulse of life.

fusion; to unify, to blend or unite into a whole. In physics; (Macquarie Dictionary) a thermonuclear reaction in which nuclei of light atoms join to form nuclei of heavier atoms, as the combination of deuterium atoms to form helium atoms, and usually with the release of large amounts of energy.

fission; (Macquarie Dictionary), the act of splitting or cleaving into parts. In physics, the splitting of the nucleus of a heavy atom, to form the nuclei of lighter atoms.

Tell me a story (one that I’d like to hear)...

A Tale of Two Brothers

Once upon a time, a very long time ago, so long ago that we barely remember and if we do, it is only through what we read about that time, the brotherhood of man parted ways…Or so the story is told, in science and  in myth.

In mythology, it was told as a story of men, in their time. It is mystery now but the tales remain, embedded in cultures all over the world.

The tales are of two brothers, or twins, or two men whose bond of love and trust was broken by the action of one wielding a weapon against the other.

In the parting of the ways, many rich and vital experiences were being lived by the human beings all over the world who had descended from the ‘brothers’.

One “brother’s” descendants lived close to the Earth and spent each day flowing with nature, drawing their sustenance and pleasure of experience from what She created for them.

As a people they developed a highly specialized intuitive or ‘feeling’ faculty of the mind, and a deep appreciation of natural beauty through the senses. They lived each moment of each day, just as it came. Their lives were about the place (or space) where they lived.

The other “brother’s” descendants were different. They were more inclined to create for themselves for their survival from what nature provided, and to learn what they could about the physical laws of nature in order to do that.

They developed a highly specialised rational or ‘thinking’ faculty of the mind. They were more inclined to revere what they themselves created. More than that, they were more inclined to revere what they themselves had not yet created. They lived for the future and what it might bring. They lived in any place they chose. Calendars of time ordered their lives.

The brothers’ descended families lived separate and different lives for millennia.

Then something that was always foretold came to pass…almost.

One brother returned and found the other.

But rather than come in peace as the story was wont to tell, he came in aggravation and fairly smote the other so that he barely survived the meeting. No longer did he recognize him as brother, but saw him distinctly as “other”, stole his homelands, poisoned his peoples, killed them and captured them in slavery to his own way of being.

Brother to brother.

The original Wound in the Mind of the Masculine lay open and bleeding.

In time, some of the families of the two brothers intermarried and so once again regarded themselves as kin. But some held themselves apart and aloof, determined to lose none of the ancestral identity. A scar grew over the Wound, so that the original slash of that which had divided them was still clearly able to be seen. Often the wound opened and bled.

It still does to this very day.

Fighting in Iraq. Fighting in Afghanistan. Fighting in Pakistan. Fighting in Ireland. Fighting in Zimbabwe. Fighting in New York.

Fighting in parliament. Fighting in business. Fighting in the street. Fighting in the home. Fighting on the 7pm nightly news. The brother’s wound is still bleeding.

But in quiet corners all over the world, people are watching. Women are watching. And many more men than we might think, are watching!  And hoping, asking, praying for change.

          And…..children are watching!

And one child might hopefully cry out in a moment of time not too distant from this very moment…..

“Look! What’s that? A bubble is rising!”

“And what is this?” might the child’s mother ask. “What are these people doing chasing after that bubble!? Are they mad? Don’t they know it will burst?”

“Someone will soon put a stop to it,” the boy’s old uncle would probably say.

“Ah!” would say the child’s wise old grandmother very slowly. “There’s no harm in just watching for a while. I’ve heard tell a long time ago that the bubble is filled with a vision of a myriad colours of Hope, and if you watch it long enough and nurse it gently enough, the vision becomes real”

“Some old wive’s tale!” the grandfather would grunt.

But surely the child would yell, “I want to go see it!”

And please God, the father would reply, “Wait for me! I’m coming with you!”
